Le Petit

The third release for Alicia Carrera and Donato Dozzy's Maga Circe Musica is by Le Petit, a duo comprised of Dozzy and Milanese producer Stefano Ghittoni.

The self-titled offering takes influence from balearic legend Daniele Baldelli's pioneering work, as well that of fellow northern Italian veteran Marco Dionigi - who together ran Pedivelle Records.

The re-interpretation of their sounds here by Dozzy and Ghittoni seem fitting, as sonically it seems right in line with the former's distinct brand of tribal trance and could well have influenced the Sound Of Rome that he's synonymous with - particularly on tracks like 'Sukia' and 'Niente'. Add moments of glacial dub techno, downbeat electronica as well as immersive ambient soundscapes, and you have quite a varied EP overall.
