Dutch saxophonist Gideon van Gelder Peters joins Night Dreamer's revered direct-to-disc series with Stargazers, a live session that captures both the intimacy and risk of real-time recording. Cut directly to vinyl at Artone Studios, it's an exercise in trust that places Peters in the same orbit as the label's finest. The record moves from the serene pulse of 'Loempia' to the vast, exploratory reach of 'Stargazers' its title nodding to Sun Ra's cosmic imagination. '91 Ships' drifts with quiet grace while 'Clifford Jordan' turns tribute into dialogue that folds the lineage of post-bop sax into something freer and more searching. Each piece feels like a conversation left open, the sound of musicians trusting where the air might take them.
